ABOUT US

My name is Ginelle Hines, I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University. I specialize in providing collaborative treatment and support for adolescents (12-17), young adults (18-25), adults (25+) and parents. I have experience working with most family types to help improve parent-child relationships. I also provide individual support to collaboratively address symptoms related to depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions and stressors, relationship challenges, grief and loss, and self-esteem. My counseling approach is client-centered, direct and non-judgmental. Together we will work to achieve client-identified goals to enhance your quality of life.

I am a trauma trained and adoption-informed clinician who provides evidence-based treatments to address trauma symptoms and oppositional behaviors in children and adolescents. I am trained to facilitate the National Child Traumatic Stress Network’s Resource Parenting Curriculum (RPC) for foster, kinship, and adoptive caregivers. I am rostered in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and a Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) facilitator.

As a therapist it is my honor to hold space for you as you confront habits and ideas that may no longer serve you as you continue your healing journey. We understand that healing is not a one stop destination but is an ongoing exploration. Therefore, at ITH PLLC we want to help identify as many helpful skills and resources to not only empower you but to help enhance your present life. Just as iridescent colors change as the angle of view changes, our lives can change when we alter our mind and perspective. I hope to be a support for you as you journey forward.
